ABOUT

As a grade school student, I observed a friend drawing a pirate’s face from a mail-order art course.  I think that was the spark that started this slow-burning desire to be an artist someday.  But music was my first calling, and so for the past 50 years,  I was getting a music degree, serving in the U.S. Air force Band, working as a public school band director, and teaching private instrumental music lessons.  Along the way though, I kept practicing art.

Now  retired, I’m focused on my second calling and the slow burn has finally become a blaze.  My mediums are graphite, pen and ink, oils, and acrylics.  With these I seek to capture God’s wonderful creation in landscapes (especially the great Southwest), wildlife, still life, and Native American and cowboy culture, both historical and contemporary  --  all viewed from West of the Mississippi River.  I hope my audience will say GOD WELL SEEN!

This website and my artwork is dedicated to my Lord and savior Jesus Christ, and His missionaries laboring among the tribes in Native American ministries.
